Regional Sales Engineer

Job Description

The Regional Sales Engineer is a high profile, key contributor to the achievement of company revenue goals across a broad set of industries and a diverse customer base. Specific account responsibilities include academics, bio-pharma and industry accounts within the assigned territory. As a member of the sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue across key markets and application areas for Headwall’s hyperspectral and spectral imaging solutions. Sales activities will focus on outbound face to face interaction with key prospects to qualify, cultivate and close new business.  Limited channel management where appropriate.

This position will be based at Headwall's facility in Bolton, Massachusetts.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Demonstrable and quantifiable track record of successful sales achievement

  • Ability to develop successful sales strategies to penetrate accounts

  • Exceptional sales qualification skills

  • Competitive, self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced, technology growth environment

  • In depth technical knowledge of spectroscopy (spectral sensors and analytical instruments) and/or imaging technologies

  • Outstanding telephone and interpersonal communication skills

  • A team player with a flexible and open communication style

  • Sales CRM experience necessary – Funnel management 100% in online tools

  • Expected travel 50%

 Education and Background:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced technical degree

  • A minimum of 5 years scientific sales experience

  • Location preference is within assigned territory and close proximity to major airport
