As the popularity of small and lightweight UAVs flourishes and as the need for complementary instruments increases, Headwall understands that data-management tools delivering differentiated solutions for customers are a must.
To meet this rapidly emerging trend, Headwall has introduced a very small and light data-acquisition system that connects not only multiple hyperspectral sensors, but other airborne instruments as well. HyperCore™ represents Headwall's innovation in spectral sensing because it is an industry-first. It is the first UAV-specific data system that interconnects instruments most used for remote sensing activities. HyperCore™ connects GPS/IMU, LiDAR, RGB, FODIS, and thermal instruments along with hyperspectral in a package about the size and weight of a Rubik's Cube.
Connections include two Gigabit Ethernet ports, a multi-purpose I/O port, and a base CameraLink connection. Power draw is 9.6 watts idle, 13.2 watts maximum.
HyperCore™ uses powerful modularized versions of Headwall's Hyperspec III software configured into the system based on the various instruments users wish to interconnect.
