Government & Federal Markets

Headwall Photonics has been active in working with many federal agencies, prime contractors, and system integrators to design, manufacture, and deploy advanced, high performance spectral imaging and other optical solutions for both civilian and military agencies. Process Industries

Spectral instrumentation is an invaluable technique for understanding process analytics at key points during critical manufacturing processes and for maintaining precise quality control over high volume manufacturing operations.

Implementation of in-line or "at-line" spectral sensing for the monitoring of critical formulation and inspection processes represents a valuable analytical technique for capturing important spectral data critical to the maintenance and operation of key steps within a process manufacturing operation. For example, within the field of view of an in-line sensor, hyperspectral imaging simultaneously yields precise information for all wavelengths across the complete spectral range available. For high-throughput process manufacturing, quality control personnel can establish operational thresholds based on specific wavelength intensities that characterize the operational step. With a wide field of view and optimized spectral and spatial resolution, Headwall's sensors can be customized for in-line and at-line material inspection and quality control.

For OEM customers, single point or dual-beam spectrometers can be embedded into process manufacturing equipment which is used to streamline factory operations for such key parameters as blending, raw mill conversion, or other optimization approaches thereby resulting in greater cost control and improved quality in the finished product.
