VP/Director of Global Sales

Job Description

Headwall Photonics specializes in spectral imaging solutions for OEMs and end users across three principal markets: Remote sensing, Advanced machine vision, and medical/biotech. Headwall’s products are instrumental in delivering image data unobtainable by any other means.

To maintain and accelerate our rapid global growth, Headwall is seeking a VP/Director of Global Sales to be located at its new facility along the Route 495 technology belt near Boston. The successful candidate will be a high-profile contributor to the Company’s growth and will have responsibility for driving revenue while managing Headwall’s sales team and its channel partners.

Main areas of responsibility are:

  • Establishing the sales strategy for high-growth technology success

  • Recruit, manage and develop the global sales team (direct as well as indirect channels)

  • Responsible for achieving sales goals in high-profile accounts & target industries

  • Individual key account management for flagship accounts when appropriate.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Experienced in selling high technology analytical instrumentation in emerging application areas and markets:

    • Remote sensing

    • Advanced machine vision

    • Medical & biotech

  • Ideal candidate would have understanding of optical spectroscopy (multispectral/hyperspectral, and Raman, and Imaging).

  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding corporate revenue targets as both sales rep and sales manager for high value sales

  • Dynamic, energetic and focused leader who has the ability to mobilize an organization towards common goals and objectives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of direct sales experience and another 6-8 sales management preferably with Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering.

  • Successful candidate will have managed both direct and indirect sales channels and shown the ability to successfully identify and recruit both direct and indirect sales teams. Ideal candidate would have global experience.

  • Ability to put in place distribution partner plans with specific actions to execute marketing strategy and measure performance

  • Successful track record of identifying and closing large OEM/B2B sales opportunities.
