Harmful Algal Bloom UAV Study

March 6, 2023

Headwall and collaborator Coastal Ocean Vision are studying the phenomena of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) with a study being conducted on and over Santuit Pond in the town of Mashpee on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. This study was started in 2022 and will continue at least through 2023. Stay tuned for more!

Carson Roberts, Ph.D., Headwall Senior Applications Engineer, presented results from the study of cyanobacteria activity in Santuit Pond with collaborator Coastal Ocean Vision during a webinar on March 7, 2023.

Presentations have also been made at the AGU Annual Meeting in Chicago in 2022 and a NAHEP Training-Workshop on Airborne Hyperspectral Remote Sensing for Agriculture in New Delhi earlier this year.
